A Fathers Love

A few weeks ago while in a tent community I saw a little boy sitting in the doorway of the tent playing. As I was getting my camera turned on to take a photo his dad steps into the picture. When I went back to review this picture tears began to stream. I was reminded of our Father, and His love for us. I am drawn to the story of the prodigal son. Luke 15:20 “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. “And the son said to him, `Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father said to his slaves, `Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet; and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate.

Even though we choose to sin our father is always there waiting for us to repent. As I was drying my tears God reminded me that in the same hand He holds me in, He also holds the child and his dad. He is more than enough for all of me, and for all of his children.

  1. A great reminder to all of us, especially when you see so much need on a daily basis. Thanks for sharing what God shared with you.
